Hyundai delivers the first H2 trucks in Switzerland

Hyundai has now delivered the first ten units of its fuel cell truck XCIENT to Switzerland. A further 40 are to follow this year, and a total of 1,600 of the H2 trucks are planned for the Swiss market by 2025. Hyundai is also working on an H2 tractor with a 1000-km range.

Cork adds 76 new electric vehicles to fleet

The Irish city of Cork has put 76 electric vehicles into operation to replace internal combustion engines. Renault Kangoo Z.E., Nissan Leaf and Hyundai Kona are used by the city’s road and housing maintenance, park management and waste disposal staff.

Hyundai USA announces 2020 Ioniq pricing

Hyundai Motor America has just announced that prices for the 2020 Ioniq Electric will start at $33,045. That is a significant jump from last year’s price of $30,315 but the 2020 Ioniq Electric features a larger 38.3 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. This increases the range from 124 miles to 170 miles.

Hyundai: $1.55 billion for first Indonesia plant

Hyundai Motors has entered into a memorandum of understanding with the Indonesian government to build a vehicle manufacturing plant in Kota Deltamas, east of Jakarta, where an “electric production line is also being explored.” The South Korean carmaking giant will invest 1.55 billion USD in the plant until 2030.

Hyundai starts electric car-sharing in L.A.

Hyundai has established a new venture named MoceanLab to provide mobility services in LA. Starting with a pilot carsharing, Mocean Carshare will deploy up to 20 Hyundai Ioniq PHEVs across the city of angels still this year before adding pure electric vehicles to the fleet.
