Hyundai pilots EV customer care systems in Singapore

In Singapore, Hyundai and partners SP Group and Komoco Motors are trialling customer care packages with the ‘E-mobility Pilot’. A total of 50 long-range Ioniq 5 electric cars will be involved in the program which mainly includes charging and maintenance packages.

Austrian e-taxis pioneer charging pad system

In Vienna and Graz, the ‘eTaxi Austria Project’ is starting a large-scale test run to test a new type of charging-pad charging technology over the next two years. With the Easelink system, electric taxis can charge with a connection to a charging pad at the taxi rank. The approach holds much promise for fleet operators.

Hyundai to end ICE model sales in Europe by 2035

At the IAA Mobility 2021, the Hyundai Motor Company announced its voluntary commitment to become climate-neutral by 2045. In the course of this, no more combustion vehicles are to be sold in Europe from 2035, and in the remaining most important world markets from 2040.

Norway marks 11,811 new EV registrations in August

In Norway, 11,811 new electric cars were registered in August. The share of electric cars in new passenger car registrations was 71.9 per cent last month. Norway’s most successful model across all drive types in August was the Tesla Model Y with 1,308 new registrations.

All new Genesis models to go fully electric by 2025

The Hyundai brand Genesis has presented new plans for the electrification of its entire vehicle range. According to these plans, all new models are to be powered purely by electricity from 2025, with the last combustion engine to be sold by 2030 at the latest.

It looks like Hyundai has decided to postpone the start of production of the Ioniq 6 by two to three months to May or June 2022. The design is apparently to be revised again and the Ioniq 6 is to receive a larger battery for more milage.

Hyundai & LG ES to build battery plant in Indonesia

Hyundai confirms Ioniq 6 and Ioniq 7 launch

Hyundai has officially confirmed for the first time that the next electric vehicle models based on the E-GMP platform will be called Ioniq 6 and Ioniq 7, as recently leaked, and will be launched in 2022 and 2024 respectively. As suspected, the Ioniq 6 will be a mid-size sedan, the Ioniq 7 a large SUV.

Hyundai Ioniq 5 deliveries to launch soon

Hyundai will soon start deliveries of the Ioniq 5, which was presented in February, in Norway. Several hundred examples of the 800-volt electric vehicle of the special model ‘Project 45’ have already been shipped there.
