This is the prediction of futurist Professor Tony Seba from Stanford University. He bases his forecasts on steeply falling costs of energy storage as well as production.

BMW North America CEO Ludwig Willisch does not openly want to go head-to-head with the Californian disruptor, especially as the German carmaker is concentrating on plug-in hybrids for the time being.
