While Smart already offers exclusively electric cars, other manufacturers such as Volvo, Jaguar or even Mini have at least announced a conversion to electric cars. Now Fiat is also setting the course to become an all-electric car brand by 2030.

Peugeot presents fuel cell van e-Expert Hydrogen

After Opel presented the fuel cell version of its Vivaro van model called Vivaro-e Hydrogen a few days ago, Peugeot now presents its e-Expert Hydrogen. This takes over the technology and is thus also supposed to offer a range of over 400 km according to WLTP.

ElectReon plans inductive test road in Italy

ElectReon Wireless, an Israeli company specialising in inductive charging of electric vehicles, will provide its technology to charge two Stellantis vehicles and an Iveco bus while driving in Brescia, Italy, as part of the Arena of the Future project.

Partners pledge to implement Plug&Charge across Europe

Major players such as BMW AG, Groupe Renault, Stellantis, Tritium and Volkswagen AG, and Shell, bp, and Total, have agreed to implement Plug&Charge as standardised by ISO before the second half of this year. A dedicated project team at CharIN is to drive the implementation.

Stellantis to deliver fuel cell transporters in 2021

PSA & FCA complete Stellantis merger

PSA and FCA have now completed their merger, paving the way for the creation of Stellantis. The new group’s ordinary shares will start trading on Euronext in Paris and Mercato Telematico Azionario in Milan on 18 January, and on the New York Stock Exchange on 19 January, each under the symbol “STLA”.

PSA sold 120,000 electrified models throughout 2020

The PSA Group recorded around 120,000 new registrations for electrified models in 2020, one reason it met the European CO2 targets. At the same time, the French company’s total sales slumped 27.8% to 2.51 million cars in the crisis year compared to 2019.

Onto subcription service orders 600 PSA EVs

Onto, a British subscription service for electric cars, has ordered 300 e-208 electric cars from Peugeot. A follow-up order has been received from Hull, UK where the municipal service provider Kingstown Works Limited, has ordered 13 purely electric Peugeot e-Experts.

Stellantis can choose from three EV platforms

The planned merger of the car companies PSA and FCA under the name Stellantis will apparently be able to rely on three electric car platforms.
