Volvo Group to build truck battery modules in Ghent
The Volvo Group has announced plans to build a battery module production facility at its truck plant in Ghent, Belgium. This is scheduled to go into operation in 2025 and will cost around 75 million euros in the first stage.

Volvo Group, Traton & Daimler Truck kickstart CV Charging Europe
Daimler Truck, Traton and the Volvo Group have received regulatory approvals for their electric truck charging joint venture announced last winter. As a result, the three partners have established CV Charging Europe (CVCE), with headquarters in Amsterdam. As suspected, Anja van Niersen, formerly Allego, acts as CEO.

Mack launches VaaS scheme for e-trucks
US commercial vehicle manufacturer Mack Trucks has launched a new Vehicle-as-a-Service (VaaS) program. Essentially an all-inclusive leasing scheme, the company hopes to help customers manage expenses associated with acquiring the Mack LR Electric truck and integrate it into existing warranties.

H2Accelerate founded for H2 fuel cell trucks in Europe
A new common-interest alliance called H2Accelerate (H2A) is aiming to help hydrogen trucks achieve a breakthrough across Europe. The initiative is backed by Daimler Truck, Iveco, OMV, Shell and the Volvo Group. The partners estimate that nationwide introduction will take about a decade.
