Mahindra Verito Electric spotted: What looks like the new Mahindra was spied in Bangalore, India. While the logo had been covered, ‘automatic’ and ‘electric’ were visible and a clear sign. The Verito EV will probably launch next week at the Indian Auto Expo.

Electric patriot act: Green Automotive Company (GAC) will present its new all-electric shuttle bus at the LCT in Las Vegas. The ‘e-Patriot’ is built by GAC’s subsidiary Newport Coachworks and is said to have a range of up to 100 miles with a top speed of 60 mph.

Homemade London cab: Nissan confirmed that the final assembly of its taxi for London will be done by British ADV Manufacturing in Coventry, UK. The Nissan cab is based on the NV200, currently built in Barcelona. Nissan will start production of the taxi end of this year, with an electric version following 2015.

Hero(es) for India: Five new motorbikes have just been unveiled by Hero Motorcorp. in India. Among them is the Hero Leap that features an on-board generator as range extender. The RNT-Concept will be available with a generator and front-wheel electric drive, making it a diesel hybrid motorcycle.
