Click tip: Sierra Club’s online EV Guide helps pick the perfect plug-in. So far it is only available to U.S. customers but it can even search for local incentives and tax rebates. The tool also considers i.e. how many miles a person drives per day or if they have an outlet for charging.

Reading tip: No less than 11 EV models can be bought in California for less than 27,000 dollars. That is after tax credits and the state’s 2,500 dollars EV rebate. With a final price tag of 12,995 USD, the Mitsubishi i-MiEV is the cheapest option, followed by the Smart ED and Chevy Spark.
