Pure EVs are hot as 7,419 BEVs were sold in the USA in December, a rise of 49,1 percent compared to the same month last year. PHEVs took a drop of 22.2 percent with 3,867 plug-in hybrids sold. Plug-less hybrids lost 8 percent but remain the strongest segment as 33,302 HEVs found buyers last month.
