Construction of China EV factory kicks off: The SAIC-GM-Wuling joint venture has begun building a factory for electric and hybrid vehicles in the Chinese southwestern province of Guangxi. The facility will have an annual capacity of 200,000 units. The JV has invested 470m dollars in the project.
Suzuki goes hybrid: The carmaker announced that it will introduce its first fully hybrid vehicle as early as December as part of the Solio family. So far, Suzuki has only manufactured mild-hybrids, many of them variants of their small line-up cars.
