VW to take orders for ID. electric car in early 2019

VW to show ID. Lounge & e-beach buggy in Shanghai

VW will be present its next electric vehicle based on the MEB platform at the Shanghai Auto Show in April 2019. The ID. Lounge will share the booth with a revival of the Meyers Manx beach buggy build on a similarly iconic Beetle only in electrified form.

VW brand investing 9 billion in electrification

VW reveals €20,000 electric car as long range e-Up

Volkswagen announced in November they were working on a 20,000 euro EV in Polo-size. It turns out, said model will not utilise the new MEB platform. Instead the VW e-Up will receive an upgrade in form of a bigger battery and may build the base for a whole range of cheap EVs.

VW lowers UK price for e-Up by £3,000

Volkswagen has updated their UK pricing for the e-Up with a new basic price of £23,115 before subsidies, which will leave a purchasing price of about £19,600. The standard trim has also been upgraded to include a rear-view camera and better seat options.
