300-kW charging: Dutch Fastned is preparing for faster charging at 300-kW, ensuring that all its locations have grid connections with at least 630 kVa available. FastNed operates 38 station in the Netherlands but aims to install a new one every week.
Tough love: China’s central government is reinforcing its push for electrification, urging local governments to comply with the 30 percent rule, meaning more than 30% of new cars purchased should be new-energy vehicles. Failure to comply will result in the reduction of fuel and operating expenses.
Growing alliance: The International ZEV Alliance, which aims to promote electric vehicles worldwide, has eight new members. In Europe, Norway and the UK pledged allegiance, while U.S. states Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, Oregon, Rhode Island, and Vermont also signed up.
Dine & Charge: The Electric Circuit and dining chain St-Hubert agreed to install ten new EV fast-charging stations in partnership with Nissan Canada. All will be located in the Quebec province.
