Nissan’s ‘No Charge to Charge’ programme arrives in three more U.S. cities. Leaf drivers in Austin, Texas, Monterey, California, and Raleigh-Durham in North Carolina receive complimentary public charging in the selected cities for two years. Eligible chargers can be located via the EZ -Charge app.
Charger financing: EV Connect teamed up with GE and financing provider SparkFund to create the EV Charging-as-a-Service (EV CaaS) programme. Flat rates for the installation of a public EV charging station start at 99 dollars a month with some upfront costs.
Diesel to electric: Leicester replaced 15 diesel vehicles with EVs in a 6-month trial. The electric cars are to serve for school transport as well as patrol cars for city wardens. If the test is successful, up to 95 diesels could be replaced with electric vehicles within the next three years.
EV chargepoint tester: Seaward developed the compact EV100 diagnostic tester for all types of AC EV charging stations. The handheld device carries out all tests required for compliance with IEC 61851. Test results can be printed or emailed to the the provider directly.
Park & Charge: Parking facility operator Apcoa is working with The New Motion to equip 50 Apcoa sites in Germany with EV charging stations. The company plans to continually expand the network to include more locations also outside the German borders.
