West Coast EV consortium: Mayors of Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, and Eugene have teamed up to reduce CO2 emissions in their cities by 80 percent by 2020. They formed a consortium to bundle purchasing power for electric vehicles, including i.e. garbage trucks. They also joined the ZEV Alliance, reportedly launched at COP21, which aims for all new cars to be emission-free by 2050.

Retailers support Paris: German retail companies announced their support for the Paris agreement. In a joint declaration, retailers vow to increase energy efficiency of their operations, to reduce emissions from transport and to support electric cars by installing charging infrastructure.

Circular energy economy: A new trial with three electric buses is in preparation in Hanover, with public transport provider üstra installing two pantographs. They will fast-charge electric buses next year and are powered by energy regenerated from braking street cars.

Fast charging record: Arctic Roads says it can recharge a Nissan Leaf with a 30 kWh battery in only 26 minutes and 33 seconds using 21 kWh and a DC fast charger from Delta Electronics. It recently took Fastned a little longer (33 min) to charge a Leaf from almost empty to 90 percent.
