A new Toyota for the track: Following Audi and Porsche’s lead, Toyota introduced a hybrid racer for the upcoming World Endurance Championship. The TS050 hybrid LMP1 combines a twin-turbo 2.4-litre V6 engine and 8 megajoule hybrid system. Moreover, the team switches from super capacitors to lithium-ion battery packs.

Funding FC research: The Centre for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research (ZSW) will receive 4.42m euros in funding from the German federal state of Baden-Württemberg.
