Pariss speeds up: The pre-production version of the Pariss roadster (we reported) was debuted in Monaco – as an ultra sporty, connected race car. Said to be available for 100.000 euros by the end of the year, Pariss plans with a production output of 50 to 200 units per year. The electric racer boasts 225 kW, which could make the heart of the one or other driver passionate about speed beat faster.

Extreme street car: Italian Mazzanti Automobil will be revealing a new supercar, the EV-R, at the Turin Motor Show in June. They have already released a series of teaser videos surrounding what they expect to be “the most extreme Italian street legal car since ever.” Whether it will be fully electric or a hybrid remains to be seen.

Model X configurator: Tesla CEO really got our hopes up when he tweeted that the Model X configurator would go live for everyone on Monday. The tweet has since been removed and the all-electric SUV can still just be reserved online. The configurator is open, however, to reservation holders, who already put down 5,000 dollars.

Investing in ULEVs: A report commissioned by the Institute of the Motor Industry suggests that the UK government should support a 1,250 hydrogen fuelling station network in order to help grow the market. Melbourne manufacturer: Electric bus manufacturing firm AVASS has leased a 12,500 square-metre factory in Melbourne. They will roll out the first Australian-made electric buses this July. AVASS has leased the factory space for five years and could hire up to 500 people.
