Touareg concept with plug: VW released teaser images of a new study headed for the Auto China next week. Though the carmaker did not confirm this, the images seem to be of the third generation of the VW Touareg. The PHEV concept will have an all-electric range of around 50 miles and combined output of 280 kW. A similar drivetrain will also be used for the serial version.

To maybe stir undecided customers in that direction, Tesla is letting them test the option for free for one month. The trial can be started with just a touch of a button on the display.
