Automated air quality: A new trial dubbed ACCRA is to demonstrate real-time emissions control using live air quality data to trigger hybrid motors to automatically switch to electric mode in polluted areas. Set in the dedicated smart city of Leeds, the project is part of the UK government’s air quality plan and joins the City Council, Cenex, the Transport Systems Catapult, Earthsense, Dynniq, and Tevva Motors.
