Bosch subsidiary turns into SEG Automotive

Bosch completes the sale of its starter motor and generator division that will now be known as SEG Automotive. It belongs to the Zhengzhou Coal Mining Machinery Group with immediate effect.

SEG Automotive is now employing 8,000 employees at 16 sites throughout the world. Besides continuing the business with starter motors and generators, the company wants to turn towards electrification, too.

Together with a group of investors, they plan to deliver solutions for electrification such as the BRM (Boost Recuperation Machine) that recuperates energy from braking to distribute it through the 48 Volt on-board system.
