British Total Security Services (TSS) has ditched all models in its fleet to replace them with 70 hybrid Toyota C-HR crossovers. The move is not only to improve their fuel efficiency but also their image when visiting customers.

The new Toyotas for TTS will be used by its field-based area management team, and will “reinforce” its professional image.

Says TSS’s financial director Jamie Caplin: “As we invest in our national infrastructure, it is vital that our vehicle fleet continues to meet our business requirements.”

The fleet of C-HR are all finished in Eclipse Black and are Excel grade models. They have been supplied through Hills Toyota in Essex, which has a long-standing business relationship with TSS.

The C-HR, Toyota’s first model in the crossover C-segment has proved popular, particularly so the 1.8-litre hybrid electric version, that commands 78 per cent of sales in the year to date.

What are the directors driving? Last I saw they were porches and BMW’s. All fuel hungry gas guzzlers.
