Tesla finishes last in mystery shopping ranking; exactly as planned

The Californians have finished last in the Pied Piper mystery shopper evaluation. The news isn’t as bad as it sounds for Tesla, however: This is exactly what Musk aimed for with Tesla sales locations.

In the Tesla sales locations, staff are focused more on education than on sales, and the Pied Piper evaluation analyzes the capacity of dealerships to turn potential customers into buyers. The resulting difference is that it seems Musk’s strategy is certainly being put into effect. Whether this translates into more EV sales may be more of a long-term study.
