Tesla-inspired electric snowmobile now serial

After Taiga Motors caused a little sensation when presenting close-to-production prototypes of electric snowmobiles last year, the Canadian company has now gone series – with quite impressive technical data.

The Atlas model, for example, manages the sprint from 0 to 100 kph in 2.9 seconds and should reach a range of up to 140 km. But the Atlas is just one of a whole range of zero-emission vehicles made for the freezing mountains.

More so, Taiga Motors has managed to pack a lot more of a punch – in energy terms – than in the previous prototype so that the series models feature a 27 kWh battery pack. This results in a range of 96 km to 140 km depending on configuration and in sub-zero temperatures of course.

Reservations are already possible with the first deliveries planned for the end of 2020.
