Introducing the Honda E-Drag

Honda has given viewers a preview of the Honda E-Drag at the virtual Tokyo Auto Salon. The vehicle is a Honda E that the company’s engineers have converted into a quirky drag racer as a concept.

The upgraded paintjob is not the only change Honda is making to their new show car: Carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer will be used for the car’s body panels, however only the roof is made from the material at the moment. The e-Drag’s wheels come from the NSX and are sized at 17 inches . Additionally, an upgraded suspension will be installed to help better put the car’s power down to the ground.

The powertrain is also said to be in for an upgrade, however the company did not state how they would improve on the 113 kW electric motor with a peak torque of 315 Nm.
