CEO Elon Musk already reacted, saying “There’s a very strong incentive for us to be very confidential with any information.” He did concede that political capital being taken out of his vehicles would probably affect their bottom line, however: “If Tesla used cars to spy in China or anywhere, we will get shut down.”
