A vehicle that brings music to your ears
Yamaha is developing a sound module for electric cars that imitates engine sounds. There is a choice of sounds from combustion engines or other sounds, such as a Star Wars theme. The idea to give electric vehicles other sounds is not new.
For example, Danni Venne, the lead producer and creative director for the Nissan Leaf AVAS tone has “experimented with a wide range of instruments,” explaining she wanted sounds that “suggests movement and power and energy.”
