ADS-TEC combines charging posts with energy storage

ADS-TEC Energy is expanding its own range with the ChargePost product. This combines two charging columns with charging electronics and battery storage in an “all-in-one” system.

The company has announced the launch of the new product for autumn 2022 in Europe and for 2023 in the USA. ADS-TEC Energy has already signed a framework agreement with a European company to receive the first 50 ChargePost systems this year.

Complementing the currently available battery-buffered ChargeBox system, which consists of a battery booster module and two separate charging columns, the ChargePost “combines the battery storage, charging electronics as well as the two charging columns” in an “all-in-one” system. With an additional integrated large display, the ChargePost is said to be able to enable additional revenue through advertising.

“We are very proud that despite all the current adversity that exists in the markets at the moment, we are able to stick to our plan and will start delivering ChargePosts in 2022. This is an incredible achievement by the entire team,” said Thomas Speidel, founder and CEO of ADS-TEC Energy. With his solutions, Thomas Speidel, CEO of ADS-TEC Energy, wants to enable fast charging even in places where the grid connection does not allow for higher charging power. For this purpose, ADS-TEC Energy has developed the so-called ChargeBox. With ChargePost, another product has been added now.
