Gotion to build lithium carbonate plants in China

Volkswagen’s battery partner Gotion High-Tech is aiming to build two factories in the southern Chinese province of Jiangxi to produce a total of 100,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate per year. The first phase, with 20,000 tonnes of annual capacity at each of the two sites, is expected to be operational by the end of 2022.

Blackstone signs LFP supply agreement with IBU-Tec

Blackstone Technology, the German subsidiary of the Swiss commodities company Blackstone Resources, has signed a cooperation agreement with IBU-Tec Advanced Materials. The Weimar-based company is to produce lithium iron phosphate cathode materials for Blackstone on its facilities.

Togg aims for serial production by 2022

The Turkish electric car manufacturer Togg has specified the date for the start of series production of the country’s first electric car. The first model is an SUV with a range of up to 500 kilometres and will go into series production in the fourth quarter of 2022.

US DoE to invest in emissions reduction

UK: Pivot Power & Wärtsilä install new Energy Superhubs
