BMW presents a one-off, monster electric dune buggy

In a new video, BMW shows the prototype of a purely electric off-roader. However, the 400 kW ‘Dune Taxi’ is apparently only a one-off for promotional purposes.

The concept electric buggy is based on the Odyssey 21, the all-wheel drive electric racer built by Spark Racing Technology which is supplied to every competing Extreme E team. Aside from the classic BMW grille, the styling is essentially the same, as well as offering the same specs of 400 kW electric drive and 1000 Nm of torque across all four wheels.
