Major safety update for Teslas in the USA

Tesla has to install a software update in almost 1.1 million of its electric cars in the USA due to safety concerns. The safety authority NHTSA points to a malfunction of the automated window closing system in several Tesla models.

According to the report, passengers run the risk of getting their fingers caught. Elon Musk, meanwhile, criticises the fact that such problems, which can be fixed via software, are referred to as a recall. “The terminology is outdated & inaccurate,” Musk complained on Twitter.
