VinFast announces recall in Vietnam

The Vietnamese electric car manufacturer VinFast is recalling 2,781 units of its VF8 model in its home country. In the affected vehicles, the bolt connecting the front brake calliper to the steering knuckle can loosen during operation.

In the USA, VinFast will fix the problem on the 999 VF8s shipped there before their deliveries start at the end of February. “This is relatively a simple procedure that can be done quickly and will not affect the delivery timeline, which is expected to start by the end of Feb. 2023,” it wrote.
