PlusCharge presents new media display for DC chargers

The British EV charging solutions provider PlusCharge presents a monitor specially designed for DC charging stations. It can display customised messages or advertisements for operators to generate additional income.

The so-called Media Screen Chargers have a 55-inch screen that – even in direct sunlight – is said to have “excellent visibility”. By partnering with ATEM Networks, a provider of innovative media solutions, PlusCharge can provide advertising formats such as cycling advertising or live streaming.

“Unlike many EV charging providers that solely offer AC charging stations with outdoor advertising screens, PlusCharge is innovating the market by firstly offering the more powerful DC charging stations, but also launching our first AC and DC media screen charging points”, says David Hytch, Technical Director for PlusCharge. “Available with dual SIM cards, our solution provides users with the ability to operate the system on more than one link, therefore reducing the possibility of data bottlenecks when supporting both chargers and media screen content.”

PlusCharge also offers its own range of EV charging stations, as well as installation and operation. With its charge point management system PlusConnect customers can access information about tariffs, arrange billing and directly contact support channels through the app.

The new Media Screen Charger is shown at the MOVE 2023, which takes place from 21 – 23 June in London.
