Iveco eDaily wins world record

The Iveco eDaily has set an official Guinness World Record. Unveiled in September 2022, the 3.5-tonne electric box van secured the world record for the highest weight towed by an electric box van. The eDaily pulled three trucks with a total weight of around 153 tonnes.

Specifically, it was even 153.58 tonnes of trailer load that the Iveco eDaily pulled over the required distance of 30 metres. The trailer was loaded with a large excavator weighing more than 50 tonnes, plus another seven tonnes of ballast. A fully loaded Iveco X-WAY 8×4 tipper and an all-terrain airport fire truck completed the 153-tonne total haul.

Incidentally, the rear-wheel-drive eDaily, with its 140 kW of power and 400 Nm of torque, even beat the record for all-wheel-drive vehicles. The eDaily has a “Hi-Power” mode as standard to release the maximum power – if it can tow 153 tonnes, the registered 3.5 tonnes towing capacity should not pose a problem.
