Zeekr opens order books for the 001 in China

The Zeekr 001 FR is now available on the Chinese market at prices starting at 769,000 yuan (about 99,500 euros). The performance offshoot of the Zeekr 001, introduced in early September, is already in production and shipping.

The 001 FR (the FR stands for “Future Road”) has four electric motors instead of two, meaning one per wheel. In total, the power is 930 kW. The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h is said to take only 2.07 seconds. The top speed is 280 kph.

When it was announced in September, it was already said that deliveries would begin in October 2023, which Zeekr has now met. However, there will not be many deliveries in the future: Production is limited to 99 units per month.

So far, Zeekr has built around 79,000 units of the 001 this year – so the FR model’s share will probably remain small. And so far there is only talk of the 001 FR being sold in China. The regular versions of the model are now also offered in a number of other countries, including the Netherlands, Sweden, Kazakhstan, Israel, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, Hong Kong, Macau and also Germany. In this country, the Zeekr 001 can be pre-ordered from 59,900 euros, with the first deliveries targeted for the first half of 2024.
