VinFast launches small electric SUV VF 3 for international markets

VinFast has announced that it will start accepting orders for the VF 3 later this year and publish country-specific details. The four-seater is described as a “dynamic mini-eSUV, packed with character and personality” for urban mobility, as the Vietnamese manufacturer puts it. The 3.11 metre long, two-door small electric car with an SUV look is the smallest vehicle in the VinFast range to date. It is said to have a range of only 200 kilometres, which speaks for a small battery and the positioning of wanting to score points in the urban environment. As a car for “everyone”, the model should also be relatively affordable. Details are to follow.

The design of the VF-3 is emphatically angular. Other features of the two-door VinFast include high ground clearance, 16-inch wheels and a minimalist interior design. The cockpit features an infotainment system with a 10-inch screen, which comes with Android Auto and Apple Carplay. The boot capacity with the rear seats folded down is stated to be 550 litres.

More importantly, we are providing a new companion for a generation of young drivers who value practicality alongside personality. The VF 3 aims to unbound the imagination of urban mobility that is not only sustainable but also accessible for everyone.”

With the VF Wild, VinFast also presented its concept of an electric pickup truck at the CES. With a length of 5,324 millimetres and a width of 1,997 millimetres, the manufacturer wants to enter the mid-size pickup segment with this concept car.
