Nissan is presenting its e-4ORCE four-wheel-drive control technology for twin-engine electric cars at the CES in Las Vegas. The technology uses both the front and rear engine for recuperation and is designed to provide high-precision engine and brake control.

Hyundai & Uber cooperate on flying taxis

At the CES this year, Hyundai and Uber have announced their cooperative effort to build air taxis to be used on the Uber platform Elevate. The two companies also presented the S-A1, a prototype for such an electrically powered vertical take-off aircraft.

Bell Nexus VTOL to be new flying Uber taxi by 2020

US helicopter manufacturer Bell Helicopter presented a vertical take-off and landing aircraft (VTOL) with hybrid-electric propulsion for five passengers at the CES 2019 under the name Bell Nexus. Bell has been cooperating with Uber for their planned flying cab since 2017.

Peterbilt adds medium duty electric truck to range

Truck manufacturer Peterbilt has just presented the mid-size 220EV electric model at CES 2019, which compliments their 520EV and 579EV all-electric trucks announced in May. In total, Peterbilt say they will have more than 30 electric trucks in trials with customers by the end of 2019.

Nissan Leaf with 62 kWh battery now up for order

Nissan presented the Leaf with a larger battery at the CES 2019 as expected. Officially called Nissan Leaf 3.ZERO e+, the electric car features the long awaited 60+ kWh battery and can now be ordered from €46,500. Deliveries in Europe will start in summer 2019 yet in limited numbers.

Harley Davidson airs technical details of the LiveWire

Harley-Davidson has published technical details about its first electric motorcycle, the LiveWire. The Harvey LEV will be launched in autumn this year and can be pre-ordered from U.S. dealers starting immediately. First prototypes can also be seen at the CES in Las Vegas.
