ChargePoint announces new features for be.ENERGISED platform

ChargePoint has announced a series of updates and additions to its be.ENERGISED platform in Europe and new software in North America compatible with 3rd party manufacturers.

Three years ago, the charging infrastructure specialist announced the acquisition of has-to-be and consequently also the backend be.ENERGISED. Since then, ChargePoint says it has “continuously maintained and developed” the product. be.ENERGISED can now manage over 900 charging station models from more than 100 manufacturers.

“ChargePoint’s be.ENERGISED platform boasts consolidated services for CPOs and eMSPs, including VAT handling, automated invoicing, streamlining financial operations for multinational charging providers,” wrote ChargePoint. The software is an end-to-end solution that can cover every step of the charging process and is said to offer the necessary “flexibility and modularity for all use cases”.

The charging infrastructure specialist has now announced new functions, offers and enhancements to its platform. These include the new payment terminal, which supports the new “OCPI v2.2.1 Direct Payment Module” standards. It is also compliant with the AFIR regulation that came into force in April. In addition, eMobility Service Providers (eMSPs) are able to give their customers access to more than 750,000 charging stations in Europe via the roaming network. In return, charging station operators (CPOs) will be able to make their charging stations accessible to the public with “a few mouse clicks” by means of roaming agreements with the “be.ENERGISED Community”. Furthermore, the CP6000 AC charging solution is now available on the be.ENERGISED platform for selected customers. Without going into further detail, however.

Additionally, ChargePoint has announced plans to expand its software offering in North America to include management of hardware of other makes and models, beginning with chargers made by LG. Customers will then be able to operate LG hardware of their choice with ChargePoint’s software.
