Genesis GV60 gets a facelift
Genesis plans to publish further details on the specifications and prices of the redesigned GV60 in the first quarter before the sales launch in South Korea. In other words, technical data is not yet available. However, the facelifted GV60 will likely be equipped with the 84.0 kWh battery, which is now also offered in the sister models Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6.
The GV60 is currently only available with the 77.4 kWh battery (for up to 517 kilometres, according to WLTP). The ‘small’ battery with 58 kWh (63 kWh in the future) from the Hyundai and Kia is not available in the Genesis. As a result, the GV60 starts at €54,680 in Germany, which is noticeably higher than its two sister models – as mentioned, the price of the facelift model is not yet known.
However, the changes to the design remain rather restrained – the GV60 is still recognisable as such. At the front, for example, the bumper has been redesigned to give a “strong and bold impression” with a “dynamic, three-dimensional shape,” according to Genesis. The familiar two-line design of the headlights and rear lights has been retained, but the LED headlights at the front are now equipped with Micro Lens Array (MLA) technology.

The side view reveals newly designed 21-inch rims. Previously, the 21-inch wheels were only available ex works with the ‘Sport Plus’ package, which costs at least 74,480 euros. The basic version is fitted with 19-inch wheels, while the ‘Sport’ package includes 20-inch aluminium wheels – although their design after the facelift is not yet known. The panelling on the wheel arches and the rear underride guard now match the body colour.
The changes to the interior are also relatively minor. The cockpit layout remains the same, but the panel between the two screens for the driver and the infotainment system has been removed. As the two screens are now visually perceived as a single unit, Genesis now refers to a “27-inch connected car Integrated Cockpit (ccIC) infotainment system.” The facelift model also features a redesigned three-spoke steering wheel.
