Genesis to release three all-electric cars in Europe

Hyundai’s luxury brand Genesis has announced details of its European debut this year. Sales will launch in Germany, Switzerland and Great Britain this summer, initially with combustion models. From the end of 2021, Genesis promises three pure electric cars are to follow.

Hyundai plans next e-GMP models by 2022 & 2024

According to a report in South Korean media, Hyundai is already planning its second electric model based on the E-GMP after the Ioniq 5 for next year. After that, there will be a one-year break followed by the third model at the beginning of 2024.

Kia presents first dedicated electric car Kia EV6 on E-GMP

Kia just presented the series EV6 electric car in an online event for press. The brand’s first dedicated electric car shares a platform with Hyundai’s Ioniq5 but is positioned to pose a “turning point” for the brand, as Kia President and CEO Ho-sung Song put it.

Hyundai marks >200,000 interest expressions for Ioniq 5

Hyundai has reported a high level of interest in the 800-volt electric vehicle less than a week after the Ioniq 5 world premiere. Customers in Europe have submitted 236,000 expressions of interest for the special edition ‘Project 45’. Production is limited to 3,000 units, so it was sold out within a few hours.

Hyundai is launching Ioniq as a fully electric subsidiary
