Genesis reveals prices and specs for the GV70

Genesis has revealed full pricing and specification for the Electrified GV70 SUV, the brand’s third all-electric vehicle following on from the GV60 and Electrified G80. Prices in the UK start at £64,405. First customer deliveries will take place in October this year.

Hyundai’s Ioniq 6 to reach 610 km range

After Hyundai recently revealed the design of the new Ioniq 6, the technical data and further details now follow. The aerodynamic electric sedan is expected to have a WLTP range of up to 610 kilometres – around 100 kilometres further than the Ioniq 5.

Hyundai has just revealed the design of the new Ioniq 6. Like the Ioniq 5, the second model of the electric Hyundai sub-brand Ioniq is based on the Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) and offers a particularly aerodynamic line with a drag coefficient of 0.21.

Hyundai confirms plans for EV factory in the USA

The South Korean car company Hyundai Motor is planning to build a new plant for the production of electric cars in the USA. The company has confirmed the project in principle, but has not yet named a location. But there is apparently already a favourite.

Genesis to manufacture the GV70 in the USA

Genesis has now officially confirmed that its Electrified GV70 electric SUV will be produced in the US. Production of the electric vehicle at Hyundai’s Montgomery plant in the US state of Alabama is scheduled to start in December 2022.

Kia EV9 confirmed for European release

Kia revealed a large electric SUV concept based on the Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) at the LA Auto Show in November 2021 named Concept EV9. Now the manufacturer has officially confirmed that the production version of the EV9 will also be available in Europe from 2023.

Hyundai & LG ES to build battery plant in Indonesia

Hyundai Motor and LG Energy Solution have reached an agreement with the government of Indonesia to build a battery cell factory in Karawang near the capital Jakarta. The factory is scheduled to start production in the first half of 2024 with an annual capacity of 10 GWh.

Hyundai has officially confirmed for the first time that the next electric vehicle models based on the E-GMP platform will be called Ioniq 6 and Ioniq 7, as recently leaked, and will be launched in 2022 and 2024 respectively.
