BK Group offers care and cleaning of charging bays
For around three years, the BK Group has, according to its own statement, “developed the necessary expertise with our own bk World locations at electric car charging parks on how charging parks can be managed highly efficiently and cost-effectively in the field of caretaking” with its lounges under the BK World brand at electric car charging parks. The experience gained is now being channelled into a new service for charging infrastructure operators.
This is said to have been made possible by winning a tender for over 300 charging parks. However, it is not clear from the press release who the customer is. The service package is to include cleaning the entire charging park, emptying all existing waste bins, providing waste containers and disposal on request, maintaining green spaces, cleaning the charging points, disinfecting the displays on charging points, winter services, graffiti removal and special cleaning on request.
There is also a statement on the costs: A fee of 19 euros per month and charging point will be charged. How often a location is used is determined individually with the charging point operators, taking into account the size and frequency of the respective charging park, according to a request. There seems to be enough staff: “In the area of facility management, we already look after over 6,000 locations with the BK Group and therefore have a nationwide network of our own service staff. In addition, we already have numerous BK World locations with their own permanently employed property managers and can utilise existing synergies very well,” the BK Group told electrive.
This is a temporary offer that will initially be available in Germany and France. Depending on demand, however, expansion into other European countries should also be possible.
