Tesla to install Superchargers at Steak ‘n Shake restaurants in the US
At this time, the plans for six new sites have already been finalised. Another 20 or more locations will follow, Tesla said in a post on the social media platform X.
As mentioned above, the news was announced on X – if “announced” is what you can call it. It started with a post by Steak ‘n Shake saying that it was switching from seed oil, such as sunflower or canola oil, to beef tallow to cook its french fries, to which Musk responded that they tasted better this way. Steak ‘n Shake then asked the Tesla CEO whether he planned on installing Superchargers at its locations.
“6 sites signed already, 20+ sites in design review. Let’s lock in those layouts,” the official Tesla Charging account then tweeted. Apparently, that was not enough for the restaurant chain, as they answered: “Thank you Tesla Charging! Let’s do over 100 locations. Consider all sites approved!”
The locations of the new Supercharger were not revealed. There is also no official time frame for the installation.
