Kia launches EV4 in South Korea
For this price, the standard range version is available in the ‘Air’ configuration, the basic version of the series, which is similar to the EV3 already available in Europe. The mid-range Earth version with the small battery is available in South Korea at prices starting from 46.69 million won (29,520 euros), while the top-of-the-range GT-Line version is available from 47.83 million won (30,240 euros). With the Long Range battery, the prices for the three trim levels are 46.29 million won, 51.04 million won, and 52.19 million wo,n respectively – the equivalent of 29,270 euros, 32,270 euros and 33,000 euros.
“Taking into account tax incentives for electric vehicles as well as state and local subsidies (based on Seoul), the actual purchase price is expected to be around 34 million won for the standard model and 38 million won for the long-range model,” Kia announced. That would be 21,500 and 24,025 euros, respectively.
Kia presented the design of the EV4 in mid-February and then the production model at the end of the month at the ‘Kia EV Day 2025’ – alongside the PV5 electric van and the EV2 concept car. The EV4 is closely related to the EV3, meaning it also uses the 400-volt version of the all-electric E-GMP platform. There are two battery versions: The standard-range model has 58.3 kWh installed in the underbody, while the long-range model has 81.4 kWh. Hyundai-Kia only provides gross figures; the net energy content is not usually communicated. In the EV4 Long Range, 630 kilometers according to WLTP should be possible, while Kia only states a range of 430 kilometers for the standard range battery.

The prices from South Korea refer to the EV4 sedan built there. In Europe, in addition to the 4.73-meter-long sedan with a strikingly elongated rear, a 4.43-meter-long hatchback version is also available. Unlike the sedan, which will be imported to Europe from South Korea, the EV4 hatchback will be built at Kia’s European plant in Zilina, Slovakia. Production there is scheduled to start in the second half of 2025.
Whether the sedan will be launched on the European market at the same time as the hatchback in the second half of the year or a little earlier is just as unknown as the European prices.
In view of the higher figure and the vehicle size compared to the 4.31-meter-long EV3, the EV4 is likely to be priced slightly higher. In Germany, the EV3 Standard Range is available in ‘Air’ trim from 35,990 euros; with the Long Range battery, the list price is at least 41,300 euros.
