The first units of the three new vehicle models are due to be delivered this month. These are the Voiager 8 (e-scooter), the Explorer 4 (e-bike) and the Explorer Light 1 (lightweight e-bike).

Fredrik Hjelm, CEO and co-founder of Voi, said: “Over the years, we have steadily expanded our e-bike fleets, but in 2025 we are taking it to the next level. We are accelerating our presence across key markets, including the UK, Germany, and France, with further expansion on the horizon. More and more cities across Europe are envisioning both shared e-scooters and e-bikes as key elements in their mobility offering and view micromobility as an extension of their public transit system. This expansion supports our mission to offer more choices for riders, whether they prefer the agility of an e-scooter or the comfort and range of an e-bike.”

The vehicles in detail: The Voiager 8 is the successor to the Voiager 7, which was launched last year. The new electric scooter is designed to make travelling smoother, smarter and more intuitive than ever before. It has a wider footboard for greater stability and two displays that provide clear, real-time information at a glance. Voi also promises improved positioning and parking accuracy. Thanks to improved durability and reparability, the Voiager 8 lasts longer, requires fewer repairs and reduces the number of service trips required to maintain the fleet.

Thanks to 54 per cent lower power consumption, the battery lasts significantly longer between charges, minimising energy consumption and operational impact. However, Voi does not provide any technical data. The Voiager 8 is to be introduced in selected cities in Finland, France, Germany, Norway, Spain and Sweden. According to a report by Velobiz, the Voiager 8 will celebrate its German premiere in Munich, where it will replace the fleet of 4,000 electric scooters. According to the report, the range of the vehicle should be over 100 kilometres.

Voi has also presented two new e-bikes. The Explorer 4 e-bike is intended for mass use and will be launched in selected cities in Belgium, France, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. According to the company, the Explorer 4 e-bike has been equipped with improvements that increase both comfort and convenience. A larger, more robust basket with a capacity of 10kg makes it easier to transport things, while a redesigned saddle is to provide a softer, more comfortable ride. The seat adjustment is also said to have been improved.

The Explorer Light 1, on the other hand, is a prototype that is 25 per cent lighter than conventional e-bikes on the market. The lightweight frame makes it easier to manoeuvre, park and use the bike and should make e-biking accessible to an even wider range of riders. This model will initially only be trialled in the UK.

Voi not only wants to increase its fleet this year but also expand into several new cities. “2025 will be a year of significant expansion, but with a disciplined approach. We have already launched Le Havre, Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, and Mannheim, as well as introduced e-bikes in London and Cambridge. In the second quarter, we will accelerate our launch pace like never before,” said Christina Moe Gjerde, VP of Northern Europe at Voi.
