Dutch Go Sharing launches e-moped fleet in Vienna

The young Dutch e-scooter provider Go Sharing announces plans to offer its services outside the Netherlands as the start-up launches in Vienna. The Austrian capital now has 200 e-scooters available to use in a pay-as-you-go model.

Tier Mobility e-scooters can be booked via FreeNow

The Berlin-based micromobility provider Tier Mobility has entered into a cooperation with the Free Now mobility platform from BMW and Daimler. As part of the cooperation, Tier’s electric scooters (kick-scoters and mopeds) will be gradually integrated into the Free Now app.

Lime adds shared electric mopeds to the fleet

Lime is adding electric mopeds to its micromobility platform and said it plans to launch as many as 600 LEVs on its platform in Washington D.C. this spring. The company is also working with authorities to pilot the mopeds in Paris.

BMW and Daimler are now selling parts of their mobility-as-a-service businesses. Mobimeo, the German national rail service Deutsche Bahn subsidiary, is taking over parts of the B2B and B2G side of things, while Uber is apparently very interested in taking over the ride-hailing and micromobility-sharing service FreeNow.

The Danish capital Copenhagen wants to ban rental electric scooters from 1 January 2021 in the city centre. They say the measure is primarily out of consideration for senior citizens because riders would scatter the light EVs in public spaces.

Lime, Tier and Dott were granted permission to operate in Paris, while all other operators will have to pack up and go: The three e-scooter suppliers were able to prevail in a tender. Lime business in braking trouble

The Australian competition watchdog ACCC found that US electric scooter giant Lime failed to disclose an issue with the brakes on their vehicles which caused injuries to drivers. At least 50 such occasions were swept under the rug by the company, the ACCC found.
