Coup e-scooter sharing adds prepaid minute-packages

Bosch’s e-scooter sharing service Coup is now offering prepaid by-the-minute packages without a minimum rental period in Berlin, Paris and Madrid as a new alternative. Users can choose between three different packages with 100, 200 or 500 minutes each.

USA: Revel completes scooter sharing tests in NY

The New York City-based startup Revel Transit has completed a nine-month pilot project on electric scooter sharing, in which 68 mopeds were used. Now 1,000 of their shared electric scooters were released onto the streets of Brooklyn and Queens.

France to ban electric scooters from sidewalks

France’s Transport Minister Elisabeth Borne has announced that she will ban electric scooters from sidewalks starting this September. In future, the vehicles will only be on the road or on cycle paths. Infringements could result in a fine of 135 euros.

Cityscoot collects fresh financing of 40 million euros

The French electric scooter company Cityscoot has secured additional financing valued at 40 million euros. They plan to seriously expand in Paris and beyond, expanding to additional cities, including Nice, and three other cities, which have not yet been decided. One is set to be in France, one in Switzerland, and one in Italy.
