TRAVIS and Spirii to partner on truck charging across Europe

Danish charging platform Spirii and truck services company TRAVIS have announced a Europe-wide partnership on truck charging infrastructure. It will see the two companies collaborate on new charging infrastructure as well as booking, billing and administration tools.

With the need to reserve truck chargers becoming more important amid a growing charging network, the partnership aims to offer a one-stop platform for drivers on the move.

TRAVIS will provide its truck service booking platform, which currently provides transport companies with a means to book and pay for things like secure parking, truck washes, and vehicle charging in over 2100 locations. This is designed to make access to charging services seamless for the many logistics companies already using TRAVIS.

Spirii – now a division of Edenred Group – will meanwhile handle the development of new dedicated truck chargers and charging stations, as well as billing and administration. The company says it will also provide site owners with a means of offering public charging, based on its Spirii Connect charge point management system.

The partnership is set to expand across ‘all’ European markets, leaning on Spirii’s existing network of 400,000 chargers across more than 18 countries. Truck operators can expect these to have dynamic pricing as with other Spirii charging stations.
