ABB showcases first electric truck in Switzerland
ABB presented the first electric truck in Berne. By the end of 2022, the company plans to convert its fleet to zero-emission vehicles gradually in Switzerland. The current three-axe model was developed together with E-Force One but runs on ABB technology.
DPD UK takes charge of ten eVito electric vans
Mercedes-Benz has registered further interest in its electric vehicles at home and abroad: DPD will add ten eVito to its British fleet, a first in the UK. Moreover, clients in Germany have procured hybrid transporters and also join the growing circle of eActros truck testing companies.
DPD Ireland to deliver with electric vehicles
The Irish brand of logistics operator DPD will invest 3.2 million euros in electrifying its fleet of vehicles. DPD Ireland launched the so-called ElectriCity roll-out in Dublin and says it will spread to other urban locations across Ireland over the next three years – if EV supply allows.
Switzerland: Quickpack launches 100 Kangoo Z.E.
The Swiss postal service provider Quickpac, which is now entering the parcel delivery market, has ordered 100 Renault Kangoo Maxi Z.E. electric vans. The first 50 units have been handed over, the second half of the order is expected to follow in late summer.
CARB approves $483 million budget for 2018-19
The California Air Resources Board (CARB) has approved a 483 million dollar budget for the 2018 to 2019 fiscal period. The budget will be used to fund clean vehicle rebates, zero emission public transport and logistics and other mobility pilot projects.
