Endesa opens Spain’s second largest charging hub
The charging hub is located at the Parc Vallès shopping centre near the AP-7 highway, with 30 charging bays spread across three areas within the carpark. A range of charging points are available, including eight 300kW and six 60kW fast chargers, plus 16 “semi-fast” 22kW chargers.
The first ten 22kW chargers were installed in 2023, with the second phase adding the 20 additional bays and the DC chargers. EV drivers will be able to manage their charging and book charging bays using the Endesa app, which provides access to the company’s network of charging hubs across Spain. Endesa has interoperability agreements with other charging providers such as Moeve, but the company has not confirmed whether the Parc Vallès hub will be available on other providers’ apps.
“This new ultra-fast charging hub is a key part of our plan to make Parc Vallès a more sustainable and accessible shopping destination,” said Núria Gàndara, Parc Vallès Manager. “It also supports the future of mobility by allowing visitors to recharge while enjoying their experience here.”
As the largest electric utility company in Spain, Endesa provides a wide range of services ranging from air conditioning to solar panels. In recent years, it has grown its EV charging offerings through the Endesa X Way subsidiary brand, which has announced a goal of operating 66,000 charging points by the end of 2025. In November 2024, the company signed an agreement to install commercial EV charging infrastructure at delivery depots for GLS Spain.
