“Orchard of Europe” edges toward 100% electric transport

Volvo Trucks has delivered 15 refrigerated electric trucks to Grupo Primafrio. The trucks of type Volvo FH Electric will collect fruits and vegetables in the Spanish Murcia region, known as the Orchard of Europe. The Group says this transitions its regional operations to 100% electric.

H2FLY to lead HEAVEN hydrogen aviation project

The German company H2FLY, which specialises in the development of hydrogen fuel cell systems for aircraft, is taking over project management in the HEAVEN project. The project will test the first passenger aircraft flying on liquid hydrogen (LH2) in 2023.

BYD to deliver 15 electric buses to Madrid

BYD has just revealed another electric bus order from Spain. Empresa de Blas y Cia, the Spanish subsidiary of the German rail transport company Arriva, has ordered 15 electric low-floor buses from BYD, twelve of which are 12-metre and three 13-metre vehicles. They are to be used in Alcorcón, a suburb of Madrid, from 2023.

Electric bendy buses by BYD are en route to Iberia

BYD announces its first order for 18-meter-long electric buses on the Iberian Peninsula. The public transport operator Moventis has ordered four articulated e-buses from BYD and expects delivery at the end of 2022. The new customer will deploy the EVs in the Vallés Occidental area near Barcelona.
