Spanish EV startup plans plant in Uruguay

The Spanish start-up Lupa has announced its intention to build one of several planned production facilities in Uruguay. The factory is scheduled to go into operation in 2024. Among other things, the presented electric small car and an electric delivery van are to be built there.

Seat announces Cupra Born to release in second half of 2021

Nissan & Repsol team up on fast-charging Spain

Nissan and Spain’s petrochemical company Repsol have made a deal to, as they say, “promote electric mobility in Spain”. To start with, Repsol will install 15 fast-charging stations at their pitstops and offer discounts for Nissan EV drivers.

Seat has started series production of its Seat Mó eScooter 125 electric scooter with e-motorcycle manufacturer Silence. Iberdrola & Porsche build charging parks in Spain

Porsche and the Spanish energy supplier Iberdrola have announced the construction of 35 HPC parks with six to eight charging points each in Spain. Twenty sites are expected to be put into operation next year, with the remaining 15 charging parks to follow in 2022.

Endesa receives EIB funding for charging network

In November 2018, the Spanish energy supplier Endesa announced the establishment of over 8,500 public charging points for electric vehicles in Spain by 2023. Endesa will now receive 35 million euros from the European Investment Bank to implement the plan.
