Daimler Truck launches Remote 3.0 app for its electric trucks
The goal is to improve driver connectivity with battery-electric trucks, says Daimler Truck. The app enables real-time monitoring of vehicle and charging status directly from a smartphone. It will be rolled out to other Mercedes-Benz trucks, including the new Actros L and eArocs, in the coming months.
The app forms part of the TruckLive ecosystem and supports over 13 languages. It requires trucks equipped with the Multimedia Cockpit Interactive 2 and Truck Data Centre 8, as well as an active TruckLive contract.
Drivers receive push notifications for key vehicle metrics such as tyre pressure, compressed-air supply, and mileage. For the eActros 600, battery-specific data – including state of charge, remaining range, and estimated time to charge – are also displayed. The app sends alerts when charging starts, pauses, or completes, minimising downtime during long-haul operations.
Truck pairing is handled via QR code scan—no password input required, as the manufacturer specifies. Drivers can also monitor the locking system and window status, with additional features due later this year.
