Vingroup says GSM will supply the 1,300 VinFast EVs to CK Vietnam, including 300 electric buses and 1,000 electric cars. CK Vietnam will operate the electric buses on its first green bus routes between the Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces.

The 300 electric buses will feature built-in Wi-Fi, active monitoring systems, and smart journey notification boards. GSM will likely choose the medium-sized VinBus which offers a maximum capacity of 72 people and delivers a range of 220-260 km for this part of the deal. The company expects CK Vietnam to deploy these electric buses as early as the third quarter of the year (July-September 2025).

CK Vietnam plans to use the 1,000 electric cars for commercial transportation services. Vingroup mentions the VinFast Limo Green electric MPV for intercity journeys and premium tourist transportation services, the VF 5-derived Herio Green small SUV for budget taxi service, and the EC Van small cargo van for intra-city delivery for this part of the contract.

“This is not only a commercial transaction, but a strategic step in the process of greening traffic nationwide,” Nguyen Van Thanh, the General Director of GSM Global, said at the signing ceremony. “We believe that when each province boldly transforms, Vietnam will get closer to the goal of sustainable development,” he added.

V-Green will establish a widespread charging network to support CK Vietnam’s new fleet of 1,300 VinFast EVs. The company plans to install 1,000 charging points across the Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces in key locations like commercial centres, bus stations, residential areas, and along economic corridors.
