Ebusco and Rocsys reveal e-bus charging robot

Dutch electric bus and charging infrastructure manufacturer Ebusco and Rocsys, a supplier of plug-in robots, are joining forces to automate bus depots. Their first robot automatically inserts the CCS plug of the depot charger into the electric bus for charging.

Swiss town moves ahead with full fleet electrification

VBSH, the public transport authority of the Swiss town of Schaffhausen has ordered the remaining 13 electric buses in an existing order with Spain’s Irizar following successful testing. They expect delivery to start next summer as VBSH aims to convert the entire city bus fleet to electric by 2028.

Hamburg: VHH manages e-bus fleet across 11 depots

The city of Hamburg is becoming a beacon of bus electrification. The Senate decided to make electric bus purchasing compulsory this year and the growing number of e-buses changes the depots. Operator VHH has therefore turned to PSI Transcom to implement PSIeBus.

Tasmanian government fleet to be electric by 2030

In the Australian island state of Tasmania, the state government has pledged to transition its entire car fleet to battery-electric, plug-in hybrid and hydrogen vehicles by 2030. An initiative for emission-free buses is also underway to determine whether hydrogen or electricity is more appropriate.

Solaris builds another 100 electric buses for ATM Milan

Milan-based public transport operator ATM has ordered 100 more electric buses from Solaris. The basis for the new order is the framework agreement concluded last year for up to 250 electric buses. The first 40 electric buses ordered under this contract have already been delivered by Solaris.

Genoa is getting electric buses from Irizar

Irizar has started supplying electric buses to Genoa. A total of 14 electric buses are scheduled to arrive in the Italian port city by the end of this month. The Spanish manufacturer is also making the charging infrastructure to equip the depot.
