Arrival scores first e-bus deal in the US worth $2Mn

The Anaheim Transportation Network (ATN) has chosen Arrival to replace Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) buses with Arrival’s battery-electric buses. For funding, ATN has been awarded a two-million-dollar grant from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) in partnership with the city of Anaheim, California.

Magtec to build drive plant in Rotherham

UK-based engineering firm Magtec is opening a factory for the design, manufacture and integration of its drive systems for electric and hybrid vehicles. The company has commissioned a 65,000 sq ft facility in Rotherham, South Yorkshire to scale up production and meet growing international demand for its innovative technologies.

CA: Halifax expects 60 e-buses and charging infrastructure

The Canadian city of Halifax will procure the first 60 electric buses, including charging infrastructure with financial support from the provincial and national governments and plans to completely electrify its bus fleet, which currently consists of 340 diesel vehicles, by 2028 at the latest.

Solaris has received a new order for 19 trolleybuses from the northern Italian city of La Spezia. The local operator ATC Esercizio, which has been using eight Solaris trolleybuses since 2013, has now ordered 14 Trollino with a length of 12 metres and five with a length of 18 metres.

Moscow will only procure electric buses from now

Moscow will stop buying new diesel buses this year and will henceforth only procure electric buses. This was announced by Mosgortrans, the operator of the bus and tram network in the Russian capital. By the end of the year, 1,000 electric buses are to be in use.
