Kia reveals UK pricing for EV4 with up to 388 miles of range
Kia has confirmed UK pricing and specifications for the EV4, as order books opened on 1 July ahead of first customer deliveries this autumn. Prices start at £34,695 for the ‘Air’ trim with a 58.3kWh battery offering up to 273 miles of range, rising to £43,895 for the top-spec ‘GT-Line S’ with an 81.4kWh battery.
The EV4 becomes Kia’s longest-range electric vehicle to date, capable of up to 388 miles (WLTP) on a single charge in its ‘Air’ long range guise. It uses Kia’s E-GMP-derived electric architecture, adapted for the hatchback’s low-profile design. All models feature a 150kW (201bhp) front-mounted motor producing 283Nm torque, delivering 0-62mph in 7.5 seconds and a top speed of 105mph.
Charging from 10-80% is possible in 29 minutes for standard-range models or 31 minutes for the long-range battery, when using a 350kW DC fast charger. AC charging from 10-100% takes 5 hours 20 minutes (standard range) or 7 hours 15 minutes (long range) on an 11kW charger.

The electric car achieves a drag coefficient of 0.27Cd thanks to design measures such as Active Air Flaps and an 82% underbody cover. Boot capacity is 435 litres with seats upright, making it one of the most practical in its segment.
The EV4 was first unveiled in February before the South Korean carmaker gave a first glimpse under the bonnet at its Kia EV day about one week later. Trim levels mirror the EV3, EV6, and EV9, with a familiar ‘Air’, ‘GT-Line’ and ‘GT-Line S’ structure. ‘GT-Line’ and ‘GT-Line S’ models use the 81.4kWh battery exclusively, offering up to 362 miles of range and adding premium equipment such as electric seats, 19-inch alloys, and a Harman Kardon sound system on top-spec variants.
The EV4 integrates Kia’s new connected car Navigation Cockpit with dual 12.3-inch displays and a 5.3-inch climate control touchscreen. It also debuts the Kia AI Assistant powered by ChatGPT, which the brand says enables natural conversation, trip planning and control of vehicle functions simply by saying ‘Hey Kia’.

The upcoming EV4 Fastback variant will expand the line-up further, as Kia continues its Plan S strategy targeting 15 global EV models by 2030, nine of which will launch in the UK. “EV4 marks the latest step in Kia’s Plan S business strategy, which will see 15 EVs launched by Kia globally by 2030; nine of which are destined for the UK,” the company noted, as it bolsters its EV offering within the family hatchback market. Nevertheless, the carmaker recently lowered its sales targets for electric cars. It previously wanted to achieve an annual sales target of 1.6 million all-electric cars by 2030 with a total lineup of 15 battery-electric car models. The new target is 1.26 million electric cars by the end of the decade.
Order books for the Kia EV4 are open now, with UK-built units distributed from Slovakia to ensure shorter lead times for European customers.
