Stańda joined Solaris in February 2020 and was most recently Management Board Member for Strategy and Sustainability. Her professional background includes managing projects and teams across Europe, Africa, and Asia. She holds degrees from the Poznań University of Economics and Business and the ESCP Business School in Paris.

The supervisory board has now appointed her as Javier Iriarte’s successor. The Spaniard had led the company since early 2023 and was considered a representative of the CAF Group, the owner of Solaris. In addition to his role as deputy chairman of the supervisory board of Solaris, Iriarte has now also taken on the role of CEO of CAF Rolling Stock.

“It is an honour to lead Solaris. I would like to thank the Supervisory Board and the CAF Group for the trust they have placed in me,” said Agata Stańda. “Over the past few years, we have undergone a significant transformation, becoming a leader in e-mobility for urban transport in Europe. I am confident that together with our entire team we will continue our growth path, with Solaris and the CAF Group setting trends in sustainable urban mobility.”

Under Stańda’s leadership, Solaris is expected to continue strengthening its position in the European electric bus market, where it has become a major supplier of battery-electric and fuel cell buses to operators transitioning their fleets towards zero emissions.
